Families and advocates from around United States will meet at the world’s most iconic theme park for epilepsy education and awareness. Danny Did will be there!
DETAILS: This year marks the 12th Annual Epilepsy Awareness Day Expo at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA, which is billed as “the largest gathering of epilepsy patients and doctors on earth.” Patients, caregivers and their families are invited to attend the two-day educational expo, which will be followed on day 3 by a visit inside the Disneyland theme park. Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disneyland was founded by parents Brad and Candy Levy as a tribute to their 21 year-old daughter Sofie, who is now 13 years seizure free. The Levys now lead the nonprofit Sofie’s Journey, dedicated to making a difference in the epilepsy community.
Over the years, thousands of families have found resources, friendship and community at this event. Danny Did wants to make this amazing opportunity available to as many as possible through our travel reimbursement grants for those in need of assistance. Please see the application below. We’re also thrilled to announce that Danny Did is proudly supporting this event as a founding nonprofit partner. The impact of events like these goes beyond measure, bringing hope and joy to so many.
